5 years ago in Portland there was a strange confluence of events, with reopening from the Covid shutdown, the abolish police protests and the decriminalization of drugs. It was against this backdrop that G’Odd emerged, making himself known with a series of movies about his group the Fire Brigade.
He then took off to Dallas, Texas in search of a larger rap scene. He opened the CF Hawn studio in the south Dallas area known as Greedy Grove and recorded many local rappers while honing his own skills and eventually started to perform live.
Just over year ago he returned to Portland and began playing in a thriving open mic scene. Now, G’Odd can be seen around Portland playing events, collaborating with the “Secret Society” and on his weekly tv series “Portland Cable Access Hijack”.
For the 5 year anniversary of this project there will be multiple performances, releases and odd activities.
