“They say, ‘Keep Portland weird’, I say, ‘Portland, you’ve got a ways to go’.”

-G’Odd

G’Odd is an experimental rapper, producer and multi media artist who began his Oddyssey in Portland around the time of the Covid shutdown/pandemic/abolish the police protests.  He emerged from the melee, wandering the streets of Old Town, slinking down the alleys of Burnside and creating his first movie at his home studio the 2105.

He then absconded to Dallas, Texas, created a rap collective and studio, recording previously unknown Dallas artists in the roughest parts of the city and began playing live.  All was done with the goal of honing his skills as a rapper.

This past summer, he returned to Portland. For G’Odd, finding a place and an audience such as Psanctum Thrift was a dream come true.  He has been performing there, around the city, and in the Bay area, for the past months.

On Monday, December 16th, he will give a condensed version of his full multi-media performance at 9pm, as the “featured artist” on the weekly series “Psanctum Open Mic”.  This is not your normal open mic.  To know what is meant by this, you must immerse yourself in the event for an evening.
